The gastrointestinal tract's malignancies, such as those of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small bowel, colon, and rectum, are included in the category of gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreatico-biliary cancers. The tumors of the liver, bile duct, gallbladder, and pancreas are referred to as hepato-pancreatico-biliary cancers. The majority of these tumors manifest in stage 3 or stage 4 of their development. While stage 4 cancer spreads to distant organs like the liver, lungs, or distant lymph nodes, stage 3 disease means that the spread is loco-regional to the surrounding or local lymph nodes or adjacent organs. Cancer symptoms vary depending on the affected organ and their degree of involvement. For instance, early-stage stomach cancer may show little symptoms, whereas advanced cancer may show pain, vomiting, weight loss, and decreased appetite.
