Therapeutic endoscopy is the medical term for an endoscopic procedure in which the procedure is performed through an endoscope. This is in contrast to diagnostic endoscopy, where the goal of the procedure is to visualize just a portion of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, or urinary tract to aid in diagnosis.
