Hepatitis BC Infections Treatment

The hepatitis B virus (HBV) is the cause of hepatitis B, a vaccine-preventable liver illness. When blood, semen, or other bodily fluids from a person infected with the virus enter the body of a person who is not affected, hepatitis B can be transmitted. This can happen during pregnancy or delivery, during sexual contact, or when sharing needles, syringes, or other injection tools used to inject drugs. Not everyone who has recently contracted HBV experiences symptoms, but those who do may experience fatigue, low appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, and jaundice. Hepatitis B is frequently a transient condition. Others may develop a chronic, long-lasting infection that can cause significant, even life-threatening health problems, such as liver disease or liver cancer. The possibility of chronic hepatitis B depends on age. The likelihood of having chronic hepatitis B infection increases with age when a person first contracts the virus. Nine out of ten newborns who develop an infection go on to have a chronic, lifelong infection. As a youngster gets older, the danger decreases. A third of kids who have chronic hepatitis B before age 6 will be infected. In contrast, practically all adults and children aged 6 and older who contract the hepatitis B virus recover fully and do not go on to develop a chronic infection.
