Hepato-pancreatico-biliary and gastrointestinal cancers refer to malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the stomach, esophagus, duodenum, small intestine, colon, and rectum. malignancies of the liver, bile duct, gallbladder, and pancreas are included in the category of hepato-pancreatico-biliary malignancies. The majority of these tumors manifest in stages 3 and 4, which are later stages. In contrast to stage 4, when the disease has gone to distant organs such the liver, lungs, or distant lymph nodes, stage 3 disease suggests that the spread is loco-regional, either to the surrounding or close lymph nodes or adjacent organs. Cancer symptoms vary depending on the organ and degree of involvement. For instance, stomach cancer in its early stages may not cause many symptoms, but advanced cancer may cause discomfort, vomiting, weight loss, and decreased appetite.
